Energy‑sector ESG Assessment: TGOOD Awarded an A‑Grade Report Card

Sep 21, 2026

On September 7, 2026, the China Energy Research Society released the 2026 Report on Sustainable Development (ESG) Evaluation for China's Energy‑sector Listed Companies. Among the 654 evaluated energy‑sector listed companies, TGOOD ranked 16th and achieved an A rating in the energy‑sector ESG assessment. Behind this A rating lies two decades of consistent green long‑termism practiced by this power‑equipment and charging‑network enterprise.

This report represents China's first authoritative evaluation for the energy sector built upon the country's first specialized ESG industry standard — Indicator System and Evaluation Guidelines for Environmental Protection, Social Responsibility and Corporate Governance Disclosure of Energy Enterprises. It delivers a comprehensive "health check" for 654 energy‑sector listed enterprises listed on the Shanghai, Shenzhen, Beijing and Hong Kong stock exchanges.

The evaluation assigns weights of 45%, 20% and 35% to environment, social and governance dimensions respectively. Quantitative indicators account for up to 80% of the total assessment. Using "per RMB 10,000 of operating income" uniformly as the intensity benchmark enables enterprises of all sizes — large, medium and small — to be measured against the same evaluation benchmark. It also establishes a veto trigger for major safety and environmental incidents. In the end, only 88 enterprises were awarded an A rating.

TGOOD was included on the A‑level list alongside many leading industry players.

01 The Substantial Value of the “A” Rating

Unlike prior assessment practices under which third‑party agencies conducted separate scoring, this evaluation follows the energy‑sector ESG industry standard approved and issued by the National Energy Administration. Compatible with international ESG frameworks, it is fully aligned with China's regulatory requirements and practical green‑finance needs.

The A rating is the highest honour granted in this round of assessment, representing tangible performance measured against official industry standards.

In 2025, TGOOD's Scope 1 & 2 GHG emission intensity stood at 0.023 tons per RMB 10,000 of operating income. Its photovoltaic power generation output reached 5,843,200 kWh. The volume of its participation in green‑power trading hit 26,380,000 kWh, while its wastewater recycling volume amounted to 13,660 tons.

Drawing on the TCFD framework, the Company identifies climate‑related risks and opportunities. It carries out Scope 1, 2 and 3 GHG inventories and advances the dual reduction of total emissions and emission intensity. Its production digitalisation rate reached 91.34%. Two major production bases in Qingdao and Chengdu were recognised as excellent intelligent factories by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT).

"Green" is not merely an adjective printed in reports. Instead, it is a quantifiable technical parameter realised on production lines, embodied in every kilowatt‑hour saved in operational ledgers.

02 True ESG Comes From Inherently Green Business Operations

For TGOOD, the environmental pillar of ESG has long been embedded within its corporate mission: "Power new‑energy vehicles with new‑energy electricity, keeping exhaust fumes and smog away from people."

TELD pioneered the world's first dedicated charging‑network technology route. Massive numbers of electric vehicles are aggregated into dispatchable mobile energy storage resources. Leveraging Virtual Power Plant (VPP) technologies, the solution supports grid peak‑valley regulation and improves green‑power absorption. Its intelligent group‑charging product for electric vehicles has received recognition from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.

As a world‑leading manufacturer of high‑voltage prefabricated substations, TGOOD's products have supported the grid‑connection and power generation of Huadian Qiongjie Wind Power Project, the world's highest‑altitude wind power project in operation. TGOOD has also won the bid for the Yalong River New‑Energy Prefabricated Substation Project located at an altitude of 4,600 metres, and developed integrated high‑voltage AC‑DC power supply solutions for AI data centres.

TGOOD has won the bid for Saudi National Grid's 132 kV mobile substation project. The 15 sets of equipment went through manufacturing all the way to commissioning in merely six months and were successfully energized in the desert. This injects Chinese momentum into energy cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative. Its power equipment has been sold to more than 60 countries and regions worldwide.

TELD's new headquarters building was officially put into use in Qingdao. Featuring coordinated operation of photovoltaic curtain walls, distributed energy storage, V2G (Vehicle‑to‑Grid) and a digital‑twin platform, the building sets a new benchmark for zero‑carbon digital buildings and has drawn continuous media coverage from China Media Group, Xinhua News Agency, People’s Daily and other authoritative outlets.

03 Governance and People: The Foundation for Sustained Corporate Growth

The Governance (G) and Social (S) pillars of ESG test an enterprise's internal capabilities. In 2025, TGOOD invested RMB 554 million in research and development. It employed 1,179 R&D staff and held 1,617 valid authorised patents in total, among which 295 are invention patents. Total hours of safety training exceeded 569,000 hours, and the coverage rate of occupational‑health physical examinations reached 100%.

Notably, TGOOD's "Eco‑oriented Party Building" system was selected by the Central Social Work Department as one of the Typical Cases of "Strong Party Building, Sound Business Growth" for Non‑public Enterprises in the New Era. TGOOD is the only enterprise from Qingdao featured on this list. Deeper‑rooted governance underpins longer‑term business development.

From being the first listed enterprise on China's ChiNext board to becoming a core‑equipment supplier and ecosystem operator for the energy hub of the new‑type power system, TGOOD consistently aligns its development with China's national "Dual Carbon" strategy and the ongoing energy transition.

This A‑rating in the energy‑sector ESG evaluation represents authoritative industry recognition, as well as a commitment toward the future. In the era of energy and digital revolutions, TGOOD aims to be both a trend‑setter and a pragmatic doer — taking the lead at every step.
