The BYD Subang Industrial Park 150 kV substation project hasachieved successful first-time energization

Expanding operations to Indonesia to set a new benchmark, the BYD Subang Industrial Park 150 kV substation project has achieved successful first-time energization！

On June 23, 2026, the 150 kV prefabricated substation for the BYD Subang project—delivered as a complete turnkey solution independently developed by TGOOD—successfully achieved first-time energization and commenced operation in Subang Industrial Park, West Java, Indonesia. The intelligent prefabricated substation has been operating stably, providing core power assurance for BYD's Indonesia vehicle manufacturing base, and serving as a benchmark project representing China's high-end power equipment entering Southeast Asia.

The Subang base covers more than 108 hectares and is one of Indonesia's largest new energy vehicle manufacturing facilities. It has extremely stringent requirements for power supply stability and power quality. The 150 kV substation serves as the “energy heart,” acting as the core power hub of the entire facility.

Facing Indonesia's hot and humid tropical conditions characterized by high temperatures, high humidity, heavy rainfall, and salt-laden sea winds, as well as a highly compressed construction schedule, the project adopted an integrated intelligent prefabricated substation solution. This enabled one-stop factory integration, assembly, wiring, commissioning, and factory testing, reducing the construction period by more than 60% compared with conventional methods, while significantly lowering construction risks.

At the same time, the project integrates temperature control, security, and remote monitoring systems with a digital energy management platform, enabling real-time data acquisition, early warning, and remote operation and maintenance.

TGOOD undertook the full scope of the project including design, manufacturing, transportation and commissioning. It achieved successful one-time energization and received recognition from the client. After commissioning, the project will continuously deliver stable and high-quality power to the BYD Subang vehicle manufacturing base, helping BYD accelerate localized mass production in Indonesia and further expand its presence in the Southeast Asian market.
