Workers'Daily Spotlight: TGOOD Takes Prefabricated Cabin Substations Global with End-to-End Integrated Services

May 25, 2026

Recently, Workers'Daily spotlighted the transformation and upgrading of China's service-oriented manufacturing sector, with TGOOD standing out as a benchmark case thanks to its industry-leading integrated service system for prefabricated substations. As the world's largest manufacturer of high-voltage prefabricated cabin substations, TGOOD has spent many years advancing the energy equipment sector, pioneering an innovative development model that closely integrates smart manufacturing with end-to-end services. This approach has significantly improved the efficiency of prefabricated substation construction, reshaped the value chain of the energy equipment industry, and provided a valuable blueprint for the transformation and upgrading of traditional manufacturing.

Unlike conventional brick-and-mortar substations, which often require up to three years to complete, TGOOD leverages its well-established smart manufacturing system to deliver and connect a 110kV high-voltage prefabricated cabin substation to the grid in as little as 100 days — representing a step change in delivery efficiency.

Behind this highly efficient delivery model lies the company's fully integrated “smart manufacturing + integrated services” system. TGOOD has established a one-stop, end-to-end service model covering every stage of the process — from overall station design and modular manufacturing integration to on-site installation, commissioning, grid connection and intelligent operation and maintenance. With seamless coordination across all stages, the company can significantly shorten project timelines while reducing customers' overall costs.

End-to-End Integrated Services Deliver Four Core Benefits for Customers

TGOOD has developed fully integrated capabilities spanning design, manufacturing, integration, engineering, delivery and operation & maintenance, enabling the company to independently undertake the complete construction of an entire high-voltage prefabricated cabin substation. This eliminates the need for customers to coordinate with multiple suppliers and contractors, greatly improving both project efficiency and engineering reliability. By leveraging its proprietary concurrent whole-process management model, TGOOD can run multiple stages of the project in parallel, enabling exceptionally rapid grid connection and power delivery.

From solution design and equipment integration to construction, commissioning, grid connection and ongoing operations, every stage is coordinated by a dedicated team, eliminating the need for customers to manage multiple parties and resources throughout the process, and significantly reducing both management and communication costs.

With digitalised management overseeing every stage of the process, TGOOD eliminates the disjointed workflows and unpredictable timelines often associated with traditional construction methods. As a result, the energisation period for 110kV and 220kV high-voltage prefabricated cabin substations can be shortened to just two to three months, delivering an exceptionally fast and efficient experience for customers.

Through standardised production, modular installation and strategic centralised procurement, TGOOD can streamline civil engineering and construction costs. Compared with traditional substation construction models, the overall project cost can be reduced by approximately 3% to 10%.

Equipped with a digitalised construction and intelligent operation & maintenance system, TGOOD harnesses AI, big data and smart sensing technologies to monitor equipment performance around the clock and proactively identify potential faults. Combined with rigorous quality control standards, this ensures the long-term safe and stable operation of substations.

Strong Technological Expertise Builds a Leading Industry Edge

Having specialised in the high-voltage prefabricated cabin substation sector for many years, TGOOD has firmly established itself as a global industry leader through its pioneering technologies, full-stack in-house R&D capabilities and extensive project experience, with its core technical strengths ranking among the very best in the industry. The company's product portfolio covers the full voltage range from 6kV to 400kV, and it is the only company in the world capable of delivering 400kV high-voltage prefabricated cabin substations. Core equipment — including high-voltage GIS, transformers and ring main units — is all manufactured in-house, ensuring full control over quality and costs across the entire value chain.

As the world's first company to develop high-voltage prefabricated cabin substations and a contributor to industry standard-setting, TGOOD possesses proprietary core technologies and has developed China's first three-layer new-material prefabricated cabin substation. It is also the only domestic company whose substation products have passed seismic testing, enabling reliable operation in extreme conditions worldwide, including high temperatures, severe cold and complex geological environments. To date, the company has delivered more than 1,000 high-voltage prefabricated cabin substation projects over the past three years, with operations spanning more than 60 countries and regions worldwide, underpinned by extensive project experience and a strong market reputation.

Flagship Overseas Projects Showcase Strong International Recognition

Thanks to its exceptional service efficiency and reliable product quality, TGOOD has secured a few major national-level overseas projects. Among them, the Saudi National Grid's 132kV mobile substation project has become a global benchmark for emergency power supply solutions. In 2024, extreme temperatures of up to 50°C in Saudi Arabia triggered severe power shortages, while conventional substations were unable to provide additional capacity quickly enough, placing enormous pressure on the national grid's power supply system. In January 2025, the Saudi National Grid signed a major RMB 700 million contract with TGOOD for the procurement of 15 units of 132kV mobile substations to support emergency power supply operations.

Leveraging its end-to-end integrated service capabilities, TGOOD delivered the project at remarkable speed: equipment manufacturing was completed within two months, cross-border transportation took just one month, and commissioning and grid connection were finalised in three months. The entire project was energised and put into operation within only six months, providing an efficient solution to the local power supply challenge. The project was highly praised by the Saudi National Grid as "a substation on wheels that delivered emergency power supply and created a miracle in the global energy sector."

In the future ,TGOOD will continue to deepen its expertise in the prefabricated cabin substation sector, further advancing its technologies and integrated service capabilities.Through high-quality intelligent manufacturing and efficient service delivery, the company aims to support the ongoing upgrade of global power infrastructure and further strengthen the international reputation of "Made in China" smart manufacturing.
